Elsie MacGill Secondary School
Elsie MacGill SS is a three-story accessible school features 21st century teaching layouts, air conditioning with individual classroom controls, triple gym, bus lay-by and student drop-off area. It also has a Community Pathways Program hub, which accommodates four classrooms with a common kitchen area and sensory rooms. The school began offering the HDSB’s I-STEM Program in Fall 2022. The school is named after Elsie MacGill, a pioneering aeronautical engineer, held numerous leadership roles in business and was a member of the Royal Commission on the Status of Women in Canada (1967-70). MacGill is a recipient of the Order of Canada.
